Sydney’s Philosophy in the Café - Philo Agora

Hello Philo Agorans,

It appears that The Fair Trade Coffee Company is closing this Sunday, May 23. To date, the lease has not been renewed despite the best efforts of Roger O'Halloran, the executive director of Palms Australia which runs the cafe.

As a consequence, we will not be meeting on Tuesday, May 25, or the subsequent two talks in June. However, we may have a new venue in the Inner West available to us in July. If this is the case, we will reconvene Philo Agora on the first Tuesday of each month starting on July 6. As the situation becomes clearer we will keep you informed.

In the meantime, should you wish to meet up with some others of the group, or wish to stay in touch, please respond to this email and we will pass on any news through our newsletter.

Finally, we wish to convey our thanks and best wishes to Roger and his staff who have catered Philo Agora for the past four years.

We trust we will all be seeing each other soon as together we have managed to create a community that has helped stimulate and nourish our philosophy of the everyday world.
