The following Tuesday, December 15, Sam Alexander discusses "Myth and Ritual" with an accent on Christianity and Christmas.

Does Myth follow Ritual or Ritual follow Myth? Are the two reciprocally joined or can each stand alone. Had Jesus not been born of man and died a Christ, would we still be celebrating a December Festival to bring in the New Year? With the help of Claude Levi-Strauss, S H Hooke and James Frazer, Sam Alexander explores the evolution of the Christmas tradition.

Sam, an old PMG telephone technician, holds degrees in Divinity and Theology. He is a founding member of Philo Agora.  

This is our last meeting for the year and as our appreciation of you, we are providing cake at the break.
